Great Falls is near some of the most accessible and well-preserved Native American heritage sites in Montana. Exploring these sites and events provides a deeper understanding of the rich Native American history and traditions that continue to shape the region. We will begin our tour at the First Peoples Buffalo Jump State Park where you will enjoy interpretive stories and gain a greater understanding of our culture's past, present, and future. After the cultural presentation we will take a moderately easy 2-mile hike from the Visitors’ Center with our guide leading the group to the summit of the buffalo jump where guests can see tipi rings and see beautiful views for miles around.

From there, we will drive to and visit Giant Springs State Park where our guides will talk about the significance of the beautiful and remarkable geological features in this area. In 1805 Lewis and Clark wrote the first written description of this unique aquifer as one of the largest freshwater springs in the country.

A hearty lunch will be provided. Tour lasts approximately 4+ hours.
